Moving You Forward - Personally & Financially through my own life experiences
First off, I would like to welcome you to my Blog site. So what will you find here, Well all the info you will find on this Blog, is based off of my own personal experiences in life. I've been the guy at the top, and the guy at the bottom. I've come close to bankruptcy, and turned things around and achieved success, I've lived on welfare, then paid it all back, I've lived out of my car, to achieving home ownership. I've been the grunt, as well as the company owner, I've had business failures, and turned around and built a multi million dollar company. I've lived in 3 countries, owned property in 2 ,I've worked for large corporations, as well as the small guy. I just barely graduated high school (53% grade average), and then turned around and graduated from 3 colleges and 1 university within the top 10%. I've worked and owned companies in manufacturing, retail, and the public service industry both under a government contract, and in the private sector and more
My plans are to share my experiences when it comes to living life, and the things I have learned the hard way. Everything from learning how to budget money, Buying Real Estate, figuring out where your money is going, Living Cheaply, Basic Investing, Running home based Businesses, Starting up a business to Writing a business plan, How to buy a vehicle (Including Financing tips and tricks), The dreaded job interview too Credit Rebuilding techniques that I've used (I've had a credit score of 437, and taken it to over 800). Everything I will be writing about, are things that I have done through out my life, that worked for me. Though everyone's experiences and situations are different, If you choose to follow any of these techniques or advice , please do so at your own risk, and please do the research, because if you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.
How did I learn all this, well basically I am self taught, But I've had a few key people advise me along the way. It all started when I was 24. I needed to replace my vehicle, so what better way to secure a loan, and also to start building equity, than to apply for a combination RRSP (Registered Retirement Savings Plan) and a car loan together. Well to make a long story short. I dealt with the bank manger, and was turned down. After this loan refusal, The bank manager who shortly after, became a financial consultant, would turn into a very close friend of mine. He also loaned me a book, that would change my life, and taught me the basics of investing. In business, right around the same time. I was approached at work, to see if I was interested in dealing in some white powder stuff on the side. Turned out the white powder was laundry soap, and the company was an MLM (Multi Level Marketing) company called Amway. I said sure, why not. This business venture ignited my entrepreneur and investing spirit, and also my desire to learn everything in relation to these topics. Since those 2 fateful incidents, My life has never been the same, both in a good and bad way. Now I've learnt to live life, and live free
